2014 No.55 Speedway Rose Sonoma County
2014 was the third spectacular year in a row for the California grape harvest. Similar to 2013, there were moderate seasonal temperatures with very few extremely hot days. This led to yet another long growing season allowing for a large fruit set as well as good flavor development leading to some spectacular aromas and flavors to be enjoyed for years to come.
This lovely Rose shines brilliantly with classic southern Rhone orange hues. Complimentary to the color are the hints of citrus, white flowers, and strawberries one will notice on the nose. One may notice the hints of minerality followed by kumquats and ripe raspberries coupled with a surprisingly lush mouth feel for a semi-dry rose. A true summer wine, this can be enjoyed with food or stands quite well on its own.
